Baraki, who began her time as an Open A.I.R. Research Fellow in early 2012, is based in Addis Ababa. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Law at Addis Ababa University in July 2008. She then worked as a junior legal advisor at Redaee Baraki Law Office for one year before continuting her studies, in European Intellectual Property Law, at Stockholm University. In addition to her work for Open A.I.R.,  Baraki  has since October 2011 been working as an Assistant Legal Researcher at Ethiopia's Justice and Legal System Research Institute.
