Thapelo Segodi is a Research Assistant at the University of Cape Town’s Intellectual Property Unit and is currently pursing his Master’s of Laws, with a focus on commercial law. Thapelo received his Bachelor of Laws in 2015 from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and prior this obtained a BSc in Applied Mathematics at the same institution. Thapelo has significant work experience in and around Johannesburg including having worked as a Project Coordinator with the Maths Centre of Johannesburg and as a Maths Relief Teacher at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre. He has a keen interest in intellectual property law, competition law, company law, and human rights law, as well as a love for music and playing the guitar.
